Bars  
1-8 1C and 2C circle once round to the left then set facing up and down. On the second setting step, 1C turn to face up. 1C cast off as 2C dance up.
9-20 9-20 Rights and lefts for 3 couples.
21-24 Set and link for 3 on the sides: 3W and 2M dance in and to the opposite end of their lines while 2W and 1W cast off 1 place and 1M and 3M cast up 1 place. End 3, 2, 1 on the W's and 1, 3, 2 on the M's.
25-32 All dance bourrel for 3 couples.
Repeat.

This November marks the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and I am a huge fan of Gordon Lightfoot's music, including his The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. There's a line in the song: " 'Twas the witch of November come stealin' " from which I took the title of this dance.
