6X32 Strathspey for 3 couples
(Set Dance)

Bars

1-8

1C and 2C set then 1C cast off 1 place to end facing in and down in 2^nd place while 2C dance up to 1^st place and face out.
2C, 3C, and 1C dance half mirror reels of 3 on the sides, 1C dancing in and down to begin. 1C end facing 1^st corner positions.

9-16

1C dance corners chain with 1^st corners: 1C change places RH with corners, corners turn LH once round, 1C change places RH with corners, 1C turn LH to face 2^nd corners.

17-24

1C dance corners chain with 2^nd corners, turning LH to 2^nd place on own sides on the last 2 bars. Order is 3, 1, 2.

25-32

All dance set and link for 3 couples twice. Order is 2, 1, 3 – all on opposite sides.

Repeat with the set inverted. Dance 6 times through.

Suggested music is Suzanne’s Strathspey from Vintage Goldring.

I was intrigued by the idea of swapping ends of the set each time through a dance and wrote several dances to try it out. This is the strathspey.
