1C & 2C set and link.

5-8

1C set and cross passing LS, to end facing out on opposite sides.

9-12

1C & 1^st corners turn RH, then 1W followed by 2M dance across the set to 2W where all three turn LH WHILE 1M followed by 3W dance across the set to 3M where all three turn LH.

13-16

1W followed by 2M and 2W dance across the top of the set and down the men’s side WHILE 1M followed by 3W and 3M dance across the bottom of the set and up the women’s side. End in order 2W, 2M, 1W on the men’s side and 1M, 3W, 3M on the women’s side.

17-20

All set, then 2W & 3M cross RH.

21-24

All set, then 1W & 2M, 1M & 3W link.

25-32

Six bar reels on the sides, beginning with 1W giving LS to 3M, 1M giving LS to 2W. On last two bars, 1C cross to 2^nd place on own sides. (Note: the ending order is 3, 1, 2, 4; but all works out eventually.)

Repeat.

Suggested music is The Starry Eyed Lassie from Miss Ogilvie’s Fancy by Green Ginger. Because of the progression, this dance also works as a set dance in 3-couple sets.

This dance takes its name from the Truth Pond in the book The Lost Princess of OZ, where the Frogman bathes and forever after must tell the truth.
