This dance was written because of the experience of watching my Mom deteriorate from dementia during the past year. It was so sad to watch how she slowly lost the ability to interact with us in any comprehendible way. The dance is meant to reflect this process as first couple starts out dancing together and eventually ends up dancing apart. I deliberately chose a mournful tune as this is a sad experience. |
