1-8	1C set and cross RH to face down. 1C and 2C set and change places LH, men facing out.
9-16	1C and 2C dance ladies' chain, turning further on the last turn to put the ladies in the center, 1W facing up and 2W facing down.
17-24	1C and 2C dance the targe. End 1, 2 with 2C on opposite sides.
25-32	1C and 2C set and dance RH across halfway then 1C turn RH 1½ to own sides.
Repeat.

We'd been dancing dances with the targe figure in class when a visiting dancer, Mats Melin, suggested I write a dance with a targe named Taj/Targe Mahal. He later suggested I use the current title, which is Gaelic pronounced roughly targe ma 'ha and means "a targe in that case."
