1C dance down the outside and back to place. |
9-16 |
1C, 2C, and 3C dance crossover mirror reels, 1C crossing down to 2nd place to start and ending by curving so 1W faces 2M with 1M right behind her. |
17-20 |
1C, dancing as one, dances a half RS reel across the dance with 2C; 2C ending in 1st place. As 1C rounds the end of the loop, 1W dances wide to allow 1M to take the lead. 1M end facing 3W with 1W right behind him. |
21-24 |
1C repeat bars 13-16 dancing a half LS reel across with 3rd couple. 3C end in 2nd place and 1W end facing 4M with 1M right behind her. |
25-28 |
1C repeat bars 13-16. 4C end in 3rd place and 1C end in 4th place. All couples are on opposite sides. |
29-32 |
All take hands on the sides and set then cross RH with partners. |
Repeat with a new top couple. |

This dance is named for the signature tune for the television show Capt'n Kangaroo, which was popular when I was young. An insurance company started using it in a commercial and its familiarity drove me nuts until I figured out from where I knew the tune. |
