At the 2016 Chicago New Years Ball Tom Senior and Mary Helen Polensky were suggesting names for my yet-to-be-written dances and Tom suggested orange slices as there were orange slices on the snack table. It turns out ‘slice’ is a figure in English Country Dancing somewhat like that in bars 65-72.
