4X32 Strathspey 4C set dance |

1-8 |
1C followed by 2C, who dance up the sides then follow 1C, lead down the center of the dance, cross below 4C, and dance up to original places on opposite sides. |
9-16 |
1C & 2C, 3C & 4C dance the knot. 1C & 2C will be dancing out the top of the set, and 3C & 4C will be dancing out the bottom of the set. As the couples dance up or down the sides of the dance (bars 5-6 of the phrase), 1C dances to 4th place, 2C to 2nd place, 4C to 1st place, and 3C to 3rd place. The order is now 4, 2, 3, 1 with 2C & 1C on opposite sides. |
17-24 |
4C & 2C, 3C & 1C dance ladies chain. |
25-32 |
2C cross down to 3rd place as 3C cast up to 2nd place. 2C cast down to 4th place as 1C cross up to 3rd place. The order is now 4, 3, 1, 2. All take hands and set on the sides, then turn partners both hands once round. |
Repeat 4 times. |
