Suggested music is Selection of Reels (6X32) from Any Good Dance Any Good Tune. This dance was originally written for 3 couples in a 4-couple set with a non-standard progression and for which Long Pond Reel by Terpsichore works very well.
I like ladies' chain and am always searching for ways to get first couple back on their own sides after the figure. The non-standard progression works, but is a bit 'interesting' and my local class recommended it be listed as a 3-couple set dance after trying it out.

This dance was written on the Winter Solstice – thus the name.
