One day I was looking out the window and flashes of gold flew by and I watched a pair of goldfinches flying around the yard, then I thought of the figure in bars 1-8 and the rest followed. When my group tried the dance, people set in bars 17-24 as is often done in Australian Ladies (half set across then finish facing up and down) and one person opted to half set backing up then finishing forward. But first couple can make the track just fine – note that the track is a figure of 8 around 1st corner positions. |
