Bars
1-8	1C lead down the center and back up remaining in the center in promenade hold. On the last bar, 2C step in behind them in promenade hold.
9-16	1C and 2C dance an allemande. On the last 2 bars, instead of retiring, 1C turn RH once round to face out on own sides.
17-24	3C, 1C, and 2C dance a chained progression for 3 couples. On the last 2 bars, 2C and 3C turn into promenade hold facing up while 1C dance into the middle and take promenade hold.
25-32	3C, 1C, and 2C dance an allemande for 3 couples.
Repeat.

This dance was written as an exercise in the 2- and 3-couple allemande. I looked up the translation of 'allemande' and it came up 'German' so I named it The German Figure. When we danced it, we realized first couple needs to really hustle to get into position for the last 8 bars.
