1C cast off to dance behind own lines, then turn away from each other and dance back up to original places. |
9-16 |
1C lead down the middle for 4 bars. On bar 5, 1M dance below as 1W dances under his raised arm. 1C lead back up to 2nd place on opposite sides. 2C step up on bars 3-4. |
17-24 |
2C and 1C dance ladies chain. |
25-32 |
2C, 1C, and 3C dance six-bar reels on the sides of the dance, 1C dancing down between 3C to start (RS on the men’s side, LS on the women’s side). On the last 2 bars, 1C dance across the set in 2nd place passing LS to own sides facing out ready to start again. At the end of the second repetition, 1C cast to the bottom as the new 1C starts dancing. |

The flume this dance refers to is in the Genesee River canyon in Letchworth State Park, New York. It has a stone bridge over it you can walk across and from which you can view the lower falls tumbling below. |
