Emily’s Fireworks

Bars  
1-8 1C turn RH, cast off 1 place as 2C steps up, and turn LH to face 1st corners.
9-12 1C dance RS around 1st corner positions while 1st corners advance, touch fists and retire making a rainbow with arms to emulate fireworks. 1C end facing 2nd corners.
13-16 1C repeat bars 9-12 with 2nd corners and ending in 2nd place on opposite sides.
17-18 All cross RH.
19-24 1C turn RH once round and cast, 1W down and 1M up, across the set and cast to 2nd place on opposite sides while 2C and 3C advance, touch fists, and retire making a rainbow with arms, then change LH on the sides.
25-28 Half reels on the sides of the dance, 1C passing the person in 1st corner position LS to begin.
29-32 Half reels across the set, 1C passing the person in partner’s 2nd corner position RS to begin and ending in 2nd place on own sides.
Repeat.

This dance was written at a shower for Andrew, Emily’s younger brother, where Emily showed how she does fireworks – touching fists with someone and raising hands into a fireworks fall. I wrote this dance to capture that moment.
