1C set, lead down, cross below 3C, cast up 1 place, and end facing partner's 1st corner. |
9-12 |
1C dance a half diagonal reel of 4 with 1st corners. As 1C come in the ends of the dance, they pull RS back to face 2nd corners. |
13-16 |
1C dance a half diagonal reel of 4 with 2nd corners. As 1C come in the sides, they pull RS back to face 1st corner positions. |
17-24 |
1C repeat bars 9-16 with 1st corner positions, then with partner's 2nd corner positions. 1C end in the center in 2nd place facing own sides. |
25-28 |
1W, 2W, and 3W; 1M, 2M, 3M RH across. 1C drop hands as they dance in the ends of the set. 2C and 3C complete the RH across to places. |
29-32 |
1C turn LH 1 1/2 to 2nd place on own sides. |

The track for first couple in bars 9-24 reminds me of the shape of a dogwood flower. The first time we danced this dance, one dancer recommended changing the hands across in bars 25-28 to LH across, then first couple would turn RH to place – either is fine with me. |
