1-8 1C and 3C set and cast off 1 place as 2C and 4C step up. 1C and 3C turn RH once round to face out in 2nd and 4th places.
9-16 Interlocking chained progression for 3 couples:
1C and 3C dance a quarter of the way around a square of their corners while 2C, 4C, and 5C turn RH 3/4 to end RS to RS, men above women.
1M take promenade hold with 2W, 1M take promenade hold with 4W, 3M take promenade hold with 4W, and 3W take promenade hold with 5M. Couples in promenade hold dance to the other end of the set formed by corner positions while 2M and 5W set and change places LH.
5W and 4M, 2W and 5M, 4W and 2M turn RH 3/4 to own sides while 1C and 3C continue dancing around their square set to 2nd and 4th places on own sides.
17-20 The top 3 men and bottom 3 women dance a half LS reel of 3 on the sides, 1M dancing up and 3W dancing down to begin. Order now is 5, 1, 4, 3, 2.
21-24 1C and 3C turn LH once round and cast off 1 place as 4C and 2C step up. Order is 5, 4, 1, 3, 2.
25-32 5C and 4C dance the knot. End 4, 5, 1, 2, 3.
Repeat.
