In class, Doug often mentions the "moment of coalescence" when the figures end and all couples are neatly in places on the sides of the dance, just before entering the next figure. I decided to write a dance that flowed, but where each figure ended exactly on the sides, rather than in other positions as often happens. When I first wrote the dance, it had no reels, and when I showed it to Mady, she said the moment of coalescence requires reels, so we replaced bars 17-24 with reels.
