1-4

1C turn 2C (LH on W's, RH on M's). 2C end in 1^st place and 1C end in 2^nd place in the center facing down.

5-8

1C turn 3C (LH on W's, RH on M's). 3C end in 3^rd place and 1C end in 2^nd place on own sides.

9-16

1C dance a figure of 8 up around 2C and end in 2^nd place facing down.

17-24

All dance a grand chain, 2C crossing RH and 1C and 3C changing RH on the sides to begin.

25-32

1C dance a figure of 8 down around 3C.

Repeat.

Suggested music is Alan J Smith from Book 45.

The idea for bars 1-8 came to me and I started playing with it in my head. The rest of the dance sort of fell into place. Bookends seems to fit since there are figures of 8 at both ends.
